The Walkers Stadium

History

The Walkers Stadium was opened in 2002 by ex Leicester City and England Player Gary Lineker after he arrived in a Walkers lorry. The stadium cost £37 million to build and is the second largest stadium in league one after Elland Road. The stadium has played host to some international friendly games including England vs Serbia & Montenegro in 2003. This relatively new stadium has excellent conference and banqueting facilities that will rival any other venue in the Midlands.

Facilities

10 flexible function suites and 44 rooms • Riverside location • Facilities for 2 to 550 people • AV equipment available • Excellent rail and road links • Onsite hotel .
