Celtic Park is home to Celtic Football Club one of Scotland's most successful club's having won the Scottish league numerous times as well as being the first British team to win the European Cup in 1967. Celtic Park was originally opened in 1892 but has undergone various redevelopments and is now the largest stadium in Scotland with a capacity of 60'832. It was voted the UK's favourite sporting venue by Radio 5 Live in 2002 and in 2014 it will host the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games. The stadium also has excellent conference and banqueting able to cater for a wide variety of events.
